Flashback Friday

Found these while looking through some older photos. These two shots are from 2012. They grow so so fast! Love that short, sassy hair! :)

2nd Day Do ~ French Braid Waves

Yesterday, Little Miss had double dutch braids. (Dorothy braids, as my hubs calls them.) We left them in over night and had very little to do this morning!
--Still spirit week. This is for favorite team day.--

Twist Braids and Step Ponies to Bun

This style is one I borrowed from Babes In Hairland. If you haven't seen her blog, you haven't seen hair! ;) I totally love my girl's red hair, don't get me wrong. But you have got to see the ridiculously thick and beautifully healthy hair her daughters have! Okay, so here's the link... CLICK ... to this style. I had to change it up just a tad for Miss Sass's short locks, but it was still fun and cute!

Thanks to the twist braids, this style has a little bit of shape at the top front. I think it is pretty, but simple and could be dressed up or used for everyday. --I have to make a quick note on this pic... My big boy here cooked pancakes for breakfast and then did his best to clean the evidence off of his shirt. Lol. He is a total sweetie who loves to cook! So, please excuse the messy shirt! ;)

Short Hair & Bangs Simple 'Do

So, you saw this 'do in another post, but this is just an up-close of what I did. The bangs are pulled back and secured with two french braids going to the same side. It is a really cute and simple style. If you can't do french braids, you can substitute pony/step braids or just do a plain braid in each section. We added a bow to match her shirt and she was good to go. She has natural waves, so I just left it. But you could always add some curl.
School is in full swing now and we are all back to the routine. This big girl is in 1st grade and is loving it so far! ;)

New School Year. New 'do!

It's a new school year and this princess's 6th bday month! Little Miss asked for clothes (such a big girl!) The top is from grandma and light-up boots from Daddy. She wanted something very special for her hair to go with the new outfit. ;)

Short Hair Do's

So Little Miss was doing homework one day, laying on the floor and cutting out little letters. Yes, this was totally my fault!!! He hair went to her elbows, it was down and just laying there next to her as she cut... You see where this is going right? Well, anyway, now it is SHORT! Here are a couple pics of the new 'do. ;)

Bangs Anyone?!?!

Most of you know me pretty well by now... you know that I get bored and change things up frequently. However, I had really been trying to not trim or cut Little Miss's hair. She wanted it long and pretty like Mommy's. ;) Yeah well, she and Drama Boy (the one who cut her hair last time!) were in the bathroom together... You can see where this is going, right?

Right, we have bangs now and some layers. Aside from the rediculously short sideburns she gave herself, it is actually pretty cute. We're going to let the bangs grow out which is why they are so big. Lol... kids *sigh*
Well, here are some pics (in the order they were taken) from our trip to see Santa. My girl was really trying to earn her nickname. May I present, Little Miss Sass:

Gymnast Piggie Braids

"I was wondering if you could do some hairstyles for gymnastics? My 6 year old just started and I would like to keep her hair out of her face, so I would like a hairstyle that would last through gymnastics. She has long hair (just past her shoulders, even with her shoulder blades) that is not really thin, but not really thick either, its just kind of in the middle lol. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thank you in advance." ~Kristine

I received this question in an email a while and wanted to feature it on my blog. Kristine was nice enough to allow me to post it here. ;) Miss Sass has a weekly gymnastics class, so we use hairstyles frequently that work well for it! This is one of my favorites because it stays in so well and looks adorable.

4 Little Piggies, A Miss Sass 'Do

So today's style is brought to you by the letter A and Little Miss Sass! ;) She told me what to do for the piggies and then added the snap clips on her own. Turned out pretty cute if you ask me! ;)

Heart to Heart

This is about the easiest 'do, but it is fun and looks cute! ;) Plus you can adjust the size and placement for different hair types/ages/etc.

New Flowers, Simple Braids

Okay, I've dragged this out long enough... today is the last day to enter the Giveaway! I will announce the winners on Wednesday. Good luck to everyone and thanks for entering! ;)

You can change this up a bit by doing puff braids or twists. It works for everyday or dressy if you add some curls...
I parted out the front, ear to ear, and put french braids on either side. When I got to her ears, I continued with a straight braid and secured the ends with an elastic. Then, I used our new flower clips to hold the ends back.
This looked cute and pretty, in my opinion! ;) And Miss Sass loves her new flowers!

Overlapping Angled Puff Braids

Before we get started with today's 'do, I want to say thanks to everyone who has entered the giveaway. Your comments are very sweet and greatly appreciated! For those who emailed or are planning to email me pics: I had asked for you to share your hairstyles for an extra entry... I am planning to put these photos in a future post. If you would like yours left out, please just let me know. ;)

If you haven't entered the giveaway yet, check here for more details. Thanks again to everyone for your support! I was thrilled to see that I have 99 wonderful people following my blog, WOW! ;)

Right, now on to the hair...
This is my new favorite style. I have done pigtails, a low ponytail, 1/2 up, and this one. I think this time looked the best, but I'll list some more with this basic idea. I just love the way it looks! ;)
This is a VERY simple style to do; it just looks a little more complex....

Simple Side Pony... & some frizzies ...

So this is a super simple 'do! Little Miss is getting her hair cut tomorrow, so I didn't want anything that would be difficult to take out. But we still needed it all up on such a HOT day! ;)

ROCKAHOLIC ... New Detangler, New 'Do - Product Review

We created a fun new 'do today inspired by our new "BORN TO ROCK" detangler by TIGI. It was really fun and too cute! Miss Sass was full of attitude, so I have a lot of pics. And then there's the product review, so this post is just a bit longer than usual. ;)

These criss-cross buns are fun and spunky. Best of all, they are easy to do!

Orchid Clips

This style is a little out of order... I actually did this one right after Sis got sick the first time. It is simple and quick. Btw, she picked out and planted the flowers all by herself! ;)
I had made some new purple orchid clips and desperately wanted to use them! ;) I simply twisted the hair and then clipped it out of the way. I did the same thing with a piece of hair just behind it. It really was pretty. I had wanted to leave the other side down, but Sis added the other flower and I didn't argue.
Lol, my goofy girl gave us all kinds of looks that day! The last one is of course my favorite! ;)
