Short Hair Do's

So Little Miss was doing homework one day, laying on the floor and cutting out little letters. Yes, this was totally my fault!!! He hair went to her elbows, it was down and just laying there next to her as she cut... You see where this is going right? Well, anyway, now it is SHORT! Here are a couple pics of the new 'do. ;)

Guess What?!

We got Little Miss Sass's ears pierced! Yay!!! She's been asking for over a year and Daddy finally said yes! ;) For the big day, Miss Sass chose a completely Over-The-Top Outfit... head to toe! Lol.

We Love Birthdays!

My little niece had her birthday party over the weekend. Little Miss was super excited because they are now both 4! ;) This was just as we were walking into the house with our gift... a few Pinkalicious books and a cute shirt and scarf by Beautees. Yes, Little Miss helped pick it out. ;)
Anyway, we had a few styles for the day. I got to do three styles... One for The Diva, Little Miss Sass, and The Princess...

Sailor Moon

These criss-cross buns are fun and spunky. Best of all, they are easy to do!

Relaxed Curls & Bun on a New Model w/ a New Flower

Please welcome my lovely niece, The Diva! A beautiful child with enough attitude for 2-13 yr old girls. ;) She agreed to model for me and I was so excited to fix her curly locks!

Braids 'N Beads

Before we get started, I want to remind everyone about my 100th Post Giveaway, found here. Today is the last day to enter and it's the easiest one yet! Thanks to everyone for your support for 100+ posts!

Sis has been asking me to do another "all-braidy" style. ;)
Part the hair into sections. This style works best with a very deep side part.

Put the front/bangs into one french braid going all the way across. A row, or several rows for older girls, looks the best on the side with the most hair.
I some how missed the following picture... Part the rest of the "bigger" side into rows behind the bangs. Sis only needed two french braids, but older girls will need more. ;) On the other side, create french braids starting at the front and going straight back. They will fall naturally.
Next, part one row in the back of the hair into small sections and braid them.
Now, it's time for the beads... This is one of the easiest ways to add beads, in my opinion. ;) Start with one bead and an elastic. I recommend clear, but used contrasting colors to show it better.
Okay, so put the elastic through the bead and then put one loop through the other loop and pull it tight. Next, put whatever beads you want onto the braid. There are several ways to do this. I suggest simply wetting the hair and using the hair as a "needle".
Your last bead will be the one with the elastic attached. slip the bead onto the hair and then wrap the loop that sticks out around the hair. It is secure for normal wear, but can also be taken out easily.
I loved the finished look! Sis decided to wear this lovely dress. (Yes, on a rainy day when we had no plans!)
Originally, I had straightened her hair. However, I like it better curled. ;)
Sis was one happy girl! ;)

A Messy Mess w/ a New Bow

We were playing outside and Sis wanted her hair fixed. She brought me two elastics and a bow...

Just for fun! ;)

Okay, so there is no new hair style here, just a fun little accessory. ;) We found this ponytail holder with fake twists on it at Walmart. It is an unbelievably close match! Lol, no way we could order anything that way!

Orchid Clips

This style is a little out of order... I actually did this one right after Sis got sick the first time. It is simple and quick. Btw, she picked out and planted the flowers all by herself! ;)
I had made some new purple orchid clips and desperately wanted to use them! ;) I simply twisted the hair and then clipped it out of the way. I did the same thing with a piece of hair just behind it. It really was pretty. I had wanted to leave the other side down, but Sis added the other flower and I didn't argue.
Lol, my goofy girl gave us all kinds of looks that day! The last one is of course my favorite! ;)

Didn't Do Nothin

Lol, okay this is a totally lazy post on my part! ;) Every once in a while, Sis wants me to do nothing, and I really mean NOTHING! to her hair! I can't even brush it without hearing yelps of "pain". Every other morning, she is bringing me the stuff and telling me what colors to use and picking out bows... This was not a typical morning... in fact she went the whole day without even a comb touching her! But seriously, look at that face, would you try it?
Yeah, it's a little absurd! Lol, meet cousin it!
Well, there is one thing I can say for it... several hours later, it looked exactly the same!

Be My Little Baby Bumblebee...

Okay, so I have just been scheduling my blog posts to start one day at a time, but I realized with this one that I am almost two week late! ;) Oh well, still the same stuff right?
Anyway, it is recital time again and my kids were all pretty excited! Mr. Cool was in a Michael Jackson dance, "Beat It". They did an awesome job and got to participate in a competition earlier this spring where they received the Top award in the division!!! Yay! ;) Then there is Drama Boy who was in "I Want It All" from HSM, very fitting. Lol! He did great, but then missed his que to go back onstage for the end of his dance... he was still adorable! ;) Okay, so little miss was a Bumblebee with her "twin" cousin. They were all so stinkin cute!

Fireworks Hair

Extra post today... I realized I better get this out right away if you all were going to see it before the 4th. ;)
Sis asked me for fireworks hair and this is what I came up with...

Cupcake Cutie... New Bows!

I was out ribbon shopping and fell absolutely in love with all these coordinating designs! ;) We just love cupcakes at our house and this ribbon was to die for!!! The colors match several Gymbo lines and a few Gap lines too. ;) Anyway, I had a blast making these! ;)
Sis loved these too and wore them at the first opportunity! And I actually liked them with her pink halter dress. We were at a local settler's days and got tons of compliments! ;)
And then she wore them later to go grocery shopping! Lol, loved the whole outfit! ;)

Red Villa Headband

Don't know if anyone will love this headband as much as me, but I was just pleased as punch! ;)
I made this to match a new outfit of Sis's from the Red Villa Baby Gap line. There's a funky and simple style here too...

I want FABULOUS! Give me Fabulous!

Sis loves HSM and that song is her favorite. That's how she decided to describe this set when she first tried it on! ;) It is definitely over-the-top... and I just LOVE it! ;)
This is an all new outfit from the Fairie*Kisses Couture Line. (For those who don't know, that's me.;) I have made tutus and bows for quite a while and I've done some simple skirts and tops. But this project was a major feat! ;) I love all the steampunk stuff that I've seen on Etsy and other places, so I just had to try my hand at it! This was a blast to make and Sis just fell in love with it! ;)

Hello? Anyone there?!

It's been months! ;) As I was reading a blog yesterday, I realized how terribly I miss this world!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season... Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day... Geez, it's almost Easter! ;) I haven't read or posted in so long, I'm not sure I remember what to do. Lol! But I will try! I have done a ton of new hairstyles since last fall, but I think I'll just start with now. ;) For my first post back, I'll just post a few pics of my favorite little models... my kids. ;)
First is my Mr. Cool;) He didn't really want to do pictures, but at least I got one sweet smile from him! Oh, and that smile is getting ready to change big time... he's losing a front tooth, so cute!
And here's my sweet Drama Boy. The charmer and adorable blue-eyed blonde of the family! He's starting to get these beyond cute freckles on his nose and cheeks! ;)
And last, that firecracker you know as Sis. ;) Still cute and red as ever, she has been doing some modeling and online pageants and tons of playing! ;) Currently, she is in a cute kid contest and would love to have your vote! It is just a one-time vote by this Friday, so really not much work. ;) Thank you for supporting her!

3 French Braid Styles

So, the entries are in and a winner is being chosen;) While you wait to hear the results, I thought you might like to see a few variations on the french braid. This is a group of adorable girls at our church. Two weeks ago, we were missing a teacher for the school age class. Since I am the nursery director, I just took all the kids outside to play. Being mostly girls, we ended up having a hair party;)

The Party's Over! ;)

Lol, okay, so I have to admit that I am relieved to be finished with Sis's bday party;) I don't have any super-fancy hairstyles to post, but I thought I'd share a few pics from the day. But first, I wanted to show some of the bows I listed in my etsy store today. I just started it up, so it is pretty bare and boring right now;) But I promise to add more items and fix up my profile/store stuff soon! Okay, so first is a pair of my streamer clips...

So here is the finished invite, minus personal details;) I was pretty happy with! Now, off to Walgreens to use their photo printer. At 8 cents a copy, these will be really inexpensive invitations! Below are some of the pictures I didn't use for the invite...
